Dancing the Flamenco of the People: the Essence of Jerez Fair

One of my favorite times of the year in Jerez is the Feria! Yes. The Jerez Fair is our spring rite celebration! 💃🏽💚🎉 Streets decked in lights, the invigorating rhythms of flamenco, and the tantalizing aroma of tapas.

Our whole town becomes a dance floor, with flamenco dresses swirling and laughter echoing. It's not just an event; it's a feast for the senses and an awesome opportunity to make new friends!

💃🏽 I created my Flamenco Cultural Immersions in Spain because I wish I could bring the whole world to Spain to experience our amazing festivities, but the reality is I can ONLY invite a small group of people. 💃🏽 Ferias are special times of the year when, for seven days and seven nights, we essentially pause ordinary activities to come together with friends and family, and to meet new people, through dancing, singing, and indulging in delicious tapas.

💃🏽 The feria grounds are like villages with streets and plazas. They are unique spaces created from scratch every single year, adorned with fantastic illuminations and decorations made out of light. One of the highlights of our Ferias is the casetas, which are spaces with live performances where everyone can enjoy wine and tapas, and dance flamenco creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

💃🏽 If you come over, I am sure you'll enjoy the beauty of men and women dressed in flamenco costumes. I will go with you on a shopping tour, if you want to get your own gorgeous flamenco attire. While dressing in flamenco attire is not mandatory, it adds to the fun, and the fashions are absolutely fabulous.

💃🏽 The best part? You get to enjoy numerous FREE performances, most of them by renown flamenco artists. In addition, throughout the Feria, people dance, mostly to sevillanas and rumbas, but also to various forms of flamenco on occasion. As we stroll through the Jerez Fair, the tantalizing smell of delicious tapas fills the air. Everyone is happy!  It's a time to release tensions, pause the world, renew yourself, have fun, and share the celebration of life.

Because our Ferias are a highly social occasion, if you come on your own, you will feel like an outsider.
