Ms. Lunaris has been hailed by the Village Voice as a “… workshop leader who guides you through a sacred labyrinth of powerful unconscious forces.” Her TV appearances include NBC, CNN, Univision and PBS in the United States, the R.A.I. in Italy, and TVE, Telecinco, Antena 3, Canal Sur and TV Marbella in Spain.
Puela has a B.A. degree in Dance Education from the State University of New York. She is a certified teacher of Yoga and Qi Gong and a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner.
In addition to teaching aliveness and creativiry through the Movement Arts, Puela Lunaris is on a mission to saving dance and music traditions in danger of extinction and the wisdom inherent in them. For this purpose, in 1994 she founded Dances of the World Society, to collaborate with organizations and individuals that wish to support these endeavors.
During her 20 years performing internationally as a dancer and a spoken-word artist, Puela Lunaris has performed at the Throne Room of Alexander the Great in Babylon (Iraq), for former vice president Al Gore, Dr. Deepak Chopra, and for members of the Jordanian Royal Family.
In bellydance circles, Puela is a sought-after teacher because of her extensive expertise in dances from her native Spain that originate from Morisco, Gypsy and Sephardi traditions. She has taught at Peter Gabriel’s W.O.M.A.D. Festivals, The Omega Institute, Hudson Valley Jungian Society, The Rakkasah Spring Caravan Festival, The Juilliard School, The New York Open Center, Hollins University in Virginia, The Performing Arts Network in Miami Beach, Centro Andaluz de Danza in Seville, and Escuela de Música y Danza in Madrid.

Her richly diverse background in performance and presentation has made her a highly coveted presentation skills trainer. Puela has developed The 6 Pillars of Successful Presentations™ – a unique and integrated approach to developing a fascinating stage presence in public speaking. In essence, her trademarked method incorporates an innovative blend of elements from the performing arts, yoga, NLP, Qi-Gong, body language, along with voice and breathing techniques.
Puela lives everyday in dedication to manifesting in tangible mediums of artistic expression the intangible forces of creativity. Her mantra is “Enliven Your Creative Spirit to Live Your Fullest Life.” Her passion is to spark the creative energies in others, that is why she has founded her Online School to share the power of the Movement Arts for Well-Being™, because she knows that in our highly sedentary, media-intense culture, we need to dance and to be connected with our bodies more than ever if we are to feel fully alive!
